No, the town’s societal misfit is also defending the dolt. Funny though is that you can look back through his archives and read how last year, he was tearing Edmund to shreds and providing all kinds of information about his crookedness. But since he is notorious for flip-flopping when someone slides him some cheese, I’m not at all surprised that he is now trying to make Edmund look like an angel. Too late!
If I remember correctly, Edmund is a habitual bankruptcy filer just like the societal misfit so they do have something in common - always in need of credik and cash to live outside of their means.
It would seem to me he is either guilty or innocent. If the Feds can prove that he took the bribe then he is guilty. If he is guilty he should be punished. He is an elected official and if he has broken the public trust he should be punisheded to the fullest extent of the law. Skin color has absolutely nothing to do with this. Bringing race into a discussion where a person has possibly committed a crime does nothing. After so many indictments I just stopped paying attention so I truly have no clue of these particular charges. But I would like to point out there have been white politicians and their aides tried for bribery and corruption.
